the stay started off nicely, but then I discovered the toilet flush handle had to be held down, very inconvenient. also, the leaky bathroom faucet was downright dreadful. I almost gave a good review, but without at least a complimentary gesture for my troubles, it just couldn’t happen. truly disappointed, especially after hearing such high praise.

Had an amazing time with friends! We loved walking along the scenic paths by the bay, just steps away, and explored the fantastic Palacios Golf Course nearby. The breakfasts were delicious, and Paula’s hospitality made our stay memorable. Perfect for a group getaway!
The only downside was the limited snack options available. It didn’t impact our overall experience, but it could be improved for late-night cravings.

We loved exploring the beautiful walking paths along Palacios Bay, just steps away from the place. The breakfast was delightful, and Paula's hospitality made our family feel welcomed during our visit.
In my wife’s opinion, a few more kid-friendly snacks would be great.

Sipping coffee on the front porch at sunrise or unwinding on the roof's crow's nest during sunset captures the charm that sets this historic home apart. The rooms boast clawfoot tubs, perfect for a relaxing soak, offering a unique twist on standard lodging.
Not every detail shines. the room not being serviced daily feels a bit off, and dripping faucets in the bathroom can be annoying, especially when you like things tidy. Some might find the absence of TVs a drag, though for me, it’s a chance to disconnect. Also, navigating steep stairs to certain rooms can be tricky for those not light on their feet. Finally, while close to the bay, the area itself feels a touch rundown, which might dampen the overall vibe.

So chill and friendly!
We loved our stay at the cottage! The porch was the best spot for sipping morning coffee. Met some super nice folks too! Breakfast was lovely, a perfect start to the day. Although the snack options were kinda limited, it didn’t ruin our vibe. Really, just an all-around peaceful place to unwind.
